Susan is a Communications Specialist with extensive experience as a creative writer, editor and speaker. With an impressive background in state government and service in nonprofit organizations, Susan worked with the Governor's Press Office, and served as Special Assistant to the Commissioner of the state Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Before joining Innovative Resources Group in 1995, she was Assistant Director of the Bureau of Women, Children and Family Services of the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Susan attended Syracuse University, and began her career as Director of Public Relations and Development for the Association for Retarded Citizens in Syracuse where she worked on the agency's successful capital campaign for a new center. Susan is active as a community volunteer, serving for over a decade on the NYS Child Abuse Council, and formerly on the Boards of Alliance, Living Resources, and Camphill Village, and is a member of Albany Rotary Club and the Hudson Valley Writer's Guild. |
