Latest and Greatest

The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse have retained Innovative Resources to coordinate and manage a pioneering community-building and neighborhood redevelopment project called Cathedral Square. Working with key stakeholders, Innovative Resources is developing recommendations for working with a for-profit development company and nonprofit institutional collaborators to build new or undertake the adaptive reuse of six properties owned by the Diocese and the Cathedral. Innovative Resources has extensive experience finding options and alternatives for organizations that may not be best suited for a traditional capital campaign process and is delighted to work with the Diocese and Cathedral to create a model that can be adapted for dioceses across the country.

"The concept of the Cathedral as an economic and community-building driver is the role that cathedrals have played through the ages", according to Monsignor Neal Quartier, Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. "The results of the re-development of Cathedral Square will allow us to expand mission-centered teaching, learning and community building services and generate ongoing revenue for the Diocese and Cathedral."

"The traditional notion of an effective volunteer leader has changed as philanthropy has changed. Having a powerful, influential, recognizable "name" no longer guarantees success."

Vice President for Campaign Services
