Albany Law School is the nation's oldest independent school of law and remains one of the finest. Founded in 1851, Albany Law has four major components: the Government Law Center, the preeminent legal and policy research center in New York's capitol; the Albany Law Clinic and Justice Center, an in-house public-interest law firm that provides free legal services to eligible clients; The Institute of Legal Studies, for continuing legal education taught by Law School faculty, as well as respected members of the bench and bar, and the Center for Law and Innovation, which assists research institutions in New York to commercialize their technology in order to support changes in government and policy.

The Cathedral Square Development Corporation has been newly formed to explore, access and build broad-based community support to reinvigorate the historic Columbus Circile/Fayette Park neighborhood in the heart of Syracuse, NY. The idea of the development corporation came out of a planning study done by Innovative Resources Group for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

The Challenger Learning Center for Tech Valley, a $1.5 million state-of-the-art Center with NASA-type equipment and space technology, will be located in the Schenectady Museum. The core of the Center’s programs is teaching science curriculum, problem-solving and teamwork to middle-school students during over 300 simulated space missions a year.

The Colonie Youth Center (CYC) is the largest, independent nonprofit organization serving the children and families of Colonie, NY. Founded in 1965 by a group of North Colonie students, CYC has grown to include school-age child care at 17 locations, recreational and summer camp programs, and free counseling to those in need.

For over 40 years, the Family Health Center has provided high-quality medical and dental care to persons in all kinds of financial circumstances, and has been the only facility in the region serving persons who are uninsured or underinsured.
