WMHT Educational Telecommunications, located in New York State's Capital Region, is the only full-service public broadcaster serving Eastern New York and Western New England. WMHT operates public radio and television stations and RISE, a radio reading service for the blind and print-disabled.

The station reaches 500,000 households in four states and is supported by 30,000 members.

Innovative Resources Group served as campaign counsel for WMHT, developing long- term strategies, comprehensive messaging, volunteer leadership, and prospect approaches for its successful $20 million capital project to open the doors on digital studios.  The campaign paved the way for WMHT to become the first public TV station in the nation to go completely digital.

The firm partnered with WMHT’S professional staff and volunteer Leadership Team to undertake a massive effort to transform the capital fundraising capacity of the station and build a sustainable model to increase and grow operating support.   Innovative Resources developed the capital project prospectus, Imagine, and a fresh, contemporary theme not only for the capital project, but also for on-air, print and promotional communications.

In addition to devising innovative capital project strategies, Innovative Resources helped the station develop a telephone outreach program to current members to encourage gifts for the capital project and bring donors beyond membership and annual contribution in a highly successful, first-time endeavor for the station.
